I know that we discussed whether Khan was high or not and the general public said not, but I still disagree. The beginning of the poem is disaganized and seems like a crazy dream, its not till the end does he pull it all back together. In the little behind the scenes piece that was given to us he admits that he had to leave for a time and do something else, I believe thats when the drugs wore off and he came back and wrapped up the poem with his forgetting the dream.

Is every unjust act unjust?
Today in Philo. we are talking about Socrates' decision to not escape from prison and to die. He explained to Crito that no unjust act can be justified with another unjust act. I was thinking about whether the situation determines the action just or unjust or is the action itself determine its justice. I realize that in a way this is just a circular argument; God very clearly says what is acceptable and what is not, but then He tells His people to go and defies these laws. In these instances they have direct orders from God to defy His laws, but would that not go to prove that actions can be determined just or unjust by the situation.
Is it worth it?
In Philo. we talked about Socrates' decision to not escape from prison and to die. And how every action was either just or unjust and how they are defined. He said that he had to die because he had been sentenced to die, even though he was wrongly sentenced. His friend had everything arranged so he could escape and not die, but he felt that his honor and teachings were more important than his life. I am not sure what I think, I can understand that leaving undermines everything that he was talking about, but what good are you dead? Since we still learn about him today I'm going to say he made the right chioce.

friends fun and freedom
Today was Labor Day and it seemed only fitting to reflect on all I have and the cost to receive them. I personally enjoy almost every freedom this country offers and all I did to earn these rights or privileges was to be born here and pay taxes. I have been blessed beyound all expectations or right. I have never fought for this country, or served in an office, I have never done any great heroic act, and yet God has seen it fit to bless me with more than what I would consider my share of happiness. I don't know why God is so gracious or why He chose me to be one of His children, but I thank Him for it and hope you feel the same.
