Where oh where art thou sanity
As I was reading "Crime and Punishment" I couldn't help, but wonder was Raskolnikov insane? He seemed to have his sanity for the most part at first. Then as he contemplates killing the old woman he becomes disillusioned. After he actually commits the crime he seems to lose all touch of reality and becomes extremely paranoid. Later his paranoia causes people to actually suspect him. After this he goes in and out of rational thought and I had trouble trying to decide if the story ends with him having his sanity or not. What do you think?
